90 Minute Training Chunks™
Portable's 90 Minute Training Chunksprovides the greatest return on investment by presenting a series of manageable "chunks" of information, helping delegates to build lasting, immediately applicable skills through short bursts of learning followed by authentic practice.

Why 90 Minutes?
Research indicates that the average adult can listen with understanding for ninety minutes , and can listen with retention for only twenty minutes source. Using this concept, we have developed a series of short courses focused on specific tasks and features within an application. Each course alternates instructor-led learning and hands-on practice.

Self Diagnosis

Self DiagnosisThe Chunks assessment or self diagnostic is non-technical and where possible avoids computer jargon as the questions relate every technical area to a practical task.

Although there may be a range of 12-40 questions depending on the Chunk, there is an intelligent process running in the background.

It is considered intelligent because it asks a series of simplified questions with the aim of scoring you on practical experience.

Intelligent
questioning may be asked in this way

An example:

With this methodology if you score below 3 out of 4 marks then the system will recommend the technical topic (see Growing List)

e.g. There are three scenarios on the left based on the question: Do you know Tony Blair? To which most people will say yes.

Scenarios

1) All question correct - 100% - Is ready for next level.

2)One question wrong - 75% - Needs to review recommendations

3)Two questions wrong - 50% - Needs to review recommendations and address knowledge base.
